    [GP]panderon Yeah, definitely a bit sad. However, to be fair, MS has been trying to dump legacy support on various things for a long time. It's definitely a forced move, but overall Win8 is so completely different under the hood, it's nice to see them dumping baggage from XP/Vista.

    {SS}GSGregory Dumping baggage is not what windows 8 is. From what I have read the whole desktop interface can be crashed/closed and is being emulated. As one comment put it they have scraped years of tweaked design in things like the start menu so on one hand you have new things on the other you are losing the power and functionality of the older ways. Either Way I don't care for more security features, a built in store and a tablet os adding more layers to me using the os for more than email. So linux.
